Bourn Truck Co. is a British bespoke vehicle builder based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, serving clients across the UK and worldwide. We specialise in the Land Rover Defender and Ford Ranger Raptor platforms, and exist for one client: the person who lives the country life — wherever they are — and demands their vehicle reflects the same standard as everything else they own.
Founded on deep hands-on mechanical engineering expertise — and a specialised mastery of the Land Rover Defender and Ford Ranger Raptor platforms — Bourn was created because the right vehicle simply did not exist. No manufacturer was building something truly worthy of the British country estate. We decided to.
Every Bourn build begins with a commissioning brief and ends with a documented handover. It is not modification. It is a commission — singular, unhurried, and signed off by the same hands that engineered it.

The engineering foundation came first. Years of hands-on high-performance engine rebuilding forged an instinct for what makes a vehicle genuinely capable, rather than merely impressive on paper. A deep specialism in the Land Rover Defender and Ford Ranger Raptor platforms underpins the Bourn approach — their architecture, their failure modes, and the extraordinary headroom they offer when pushed to the limits a commission demands.
That technical rigour was further sharpened across a career in a £30 million technical manufacturing sector — leading complex IIoT hardware development, managing high-value client relationships, and delivering precision projects on schedule and to standard. The professionalism, process discipline, and troubleshooting instinct of that world now belongs entirely to Bourn.
The aesthetic followed from a life lived in the country. Field sports, estate management, falconry, working dogs — grown up in the British countryside around farms, animals, hunting, and Land Rovers. This is not a demographic researched from the outside. It is a culture understood from within. Every bespoke integration Bourn offers — from heritage gun storage to dedicated falconry perches — was conceived not in a design studio, but in the field.
Bourn is deliberately small. Every commission is personally overseen from first brief to final handover. Every vehicle that leaves the workshop has been driven, assessed, and approved by the same hands that built it. That standard is non-negotiable — and it will never change.
