/ Build Process
How a Bourn
Vehicle is Made.
/ Five Stages
Five stages. One standard. No compromises.
From the first brief to the photographed handover, every Bourn commission follows the same rigorous process — because the standard is what makes the vehicle.
Vehicle & Client Brief
Every commission begins with a conversation. We take time to understand your estate, your pursuits, and the role this vehicle will play. Then we source the right platform — classic TD5-era Defender, modern L663 V8, heritage T6 Ranger, or next-gen V6 Raptor — to your specification. We work with all engine variants, so the engine your vehicle has is never a barrier to a Bourn build.
Platform selection · Brief alignment · Vehicle sourcing
Specification, Materials & Quote
Our engineering team designs your build from the ground up. Every exterior modification, suspension geometry change, and interior material is specified before a single bolt is turned. You receive a full build document for approval.

Body, Stance & Utility
The build begins in our workshop. Wide-track arches, precision lift kits, upgraded suspension geometry, underbody protection, custom Bourn front grille with roof light array — then interior detailing, utility fitment, and heritage material installation.
Exterior · Suspension · Interior · Utility
Road Test & Finish
Every Bourn vehicle is road and terrain tested before it leaves the workshop. We verify suspension geometry, lighting calibration, drawer system function, and finish quality. Nothing is signed off until it meets the Bourn standard.
Road testing · Terrain testing · Finish inspection
Media & Client Launch
Your vehicle is delivered with a full photographic documentation of the build — because every Bourn commission is worthy of the record. We believe in the photographed handover as part of the experience.

/ The Standard
Every surface. Every system. Every detail.
The Bourn standard is not a specification sheet — it is a philosophy. Rich heritage leathers, treated hardwoods, and milled aluminium ensure that utility spaces are as luxurious as the cabin.
The Armory's velvet-lined drawers are calibrated to the millimetre. The Field Setup's ventilation is engineered for the animal it will carry. Nothing is approximate.
